11:13 AM
It's the end of term, disregarding the make-ups in the hols and it has been more of a plod than a sprint. The cliched expression of time seeming never ending when things get tough and time passing too quickly when things are going fine is perhaps rather relevant in this context.
To round things up, I enjoyed VJ's choir concert albeit some sleep-inducing moments and TJ's CO concert to a lesser extent, sadly due to my lack of appreciation for Chinese orchestral music. GIC Video Conference and helping out in the organising of VMUN weren't too bad either. New friends and new experiences.
Anyway I got up this morning and gave thanks for the end of term.
Gave thanks for each and every cell member in the VJ cell, and the cherished times we shared
Gave thanks for the love of supportive friends
Gave thanks for being one of the 90 shortlisted in the Scholarship Programme, much as my maths grades suggest otherwise
And then I hesitated for a moment.
I ran out of things to say for the second time in as many days. With the troubling realisation that there was more grievance than cheer in my heart.
